First Australian ELV Controller

ICUPS 42vac ELV Controller with UPS

SCATS Urban Traffic Control Systems

First Australian ELV Controller

ATC have been selected by VicRoads to supply Australia's first ELV Traffic Signal Controller to be deployed at a traffic intersection in Kew.

ATC have developed a controller that switches 42vac to the Traffic Signal Lanterns and in addition is fitted with a UPS integrated in the one housing unit.

The ELV traffic signal controller is known as the ICUPS, Integrated Controller with UPS running ELV with UPS and batteries for a minimum hold up time of 4 hours at full load.

The ICUPS controller will be driving the latest low power LED Lanterns that run on 42vac.

Road Authorities around Australia have been looking to implement safe voltage systems to reduce the hazard of electric shock to the travelling public and service personnel and the ICUPS delivers on that count.

This new type of controller has the added benefit of providing continued traffic signal operation for at least 4 hours on loss of mains AC power.

SCATS Compatible

The ICUPS is based on the latest high tech ATSC4 Traffic Signal Controller successfully deployed in Australia and around the world.

THE ICUPS is SCATS™  compatible and has already been tested to work with the latest IP based modem systems that SCATS can communicate with.
