Advanced Warning Sign Controller Type Approved.

Aldridge Traffic Controllers today received the Type Approval Certificate from VicRoads for its Active Advanced Warning Sign Controller (AWSC4) product designed, developed and approved in 12 months.

The Active Advanced Warning Signal Controller is the first in Australia to receive Type Approval as an advanced Road User warning system in rural settings with high speed roads near Railway Level Crossings.

The AWSC4 was put through a number of tests including a witnessed Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) program, EMC tested, Environmental (IP) tested including Field Trials and passed all of them successfully.

ATC achieved this milestone in 12 months from concept to delivery and implementation, having installed some 12 units already.

The AWSC4 is currently Australia's only Type Approved and installed Active Advanced Warning Sign Controller driven by Railway signalling to warn motorists that a train is approaching or going through the level crossing.
