The SCATS® Event Generator is a tool that allows non SCATS compliant devices in the field to generate alarms that can be used to alert Control Centre Operators.
External devices can include such equipment like Variable Message Signs (VMS) on major roads, Uninterruptible Power Supplies that are integrated with Traffic Signal Controllers such as the ATSC4 and other devices such as pumps and water level monitors or any device that has relay contacts that can be monitored and reported by a Traffic Signal Controller or SCATS Compliant Device.
The events generated by these external devices can be treated like those of SCATS compliant devices in that they are date and time stamped and logged.
This application is integrated with SCATS® and if licensed is available to the operator at any time.
SCATS® Event Generator is not a standalone application and requires the SCATS® Core Software to operate, however, this application can be purchased separately from SCATS®, for example for existing SCATS® System users.
