SCATS® is the world's leading adaptive urban traffic management system and to get the best performance from it.

 

Users need to understand traffic management principles and how to implement strategies to achieve effective and efficient movement of urban traffic.

 

ATC offer the SCATS® Practitioner's course for users who want to become knowledgeable in the deployment or running of a SCATS® system with a network of Traffic Signal Controllers.

 

Target Audience

 

This course is aimed at traffic management staff from road authorities and SCATS® licensees from interstate or overseas.

 

Participants should be familiar with traffic signal operation and the principles of coordination. 

 

 

Course Summary

 

Course participants will build a small traffic management system. This includes the installation and configuration of SCATS® Central Manager, SCATS® Region and various SCATS® support applications.

 

They will then design and configure the sites and subsystems in the region including graphics, plans and associated data.

 

A strong emphasis will be placed on monitoring and optimizing traffic operations including troubleshooting and fault finding.

 

ATC can run training courses at its dedicated training facility or on site if there are sufficient participants, both in Australia and overseas.
