This is one of the most capable video image processing (VIP) modules available on the market that ATC distributes for medium to larger installations of video detection cameras.
This product is essentially the processing engine that is interfaced to 3rd party cameras being fixed or Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) types. The VIP series of detection engines can be deployed for Traffic Monitoring, Incident Detection or Traffic Data Collection.
The VIP series allows multiple algorithms to run simultaneously to perform such functions as:
- Motion Detection
- Tracking of Vehicles
- Shadow suppression
This version also provides streaming video using MPEG-4 compression offering a full frame rate streaming video. Having an IP interface means it is networked and therefore can be monitored using commonly available tools and access for maintenance and configuration.
The VIP is designed to interface to Traficon's Management Software (TMS) system to provide a complete view across a number of cameras in real time.
