ITS APIs
SCATS Software utilises Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to facilitate the secure interfacing of external ITS applications with SCATS. Through the ITS APIs, users can connect to SCATS Central Manager or a SCATS Region using an external application to retrieve valuable data from the SCATS system. These messages can contain specific site information including site plans, SCATS alarms, detections and other data stored in the SCATS database.
The two ITS APIs currently available are ITS Port, a legacy Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) socket application used to recall SCATS messages, and the newly developed ITSLink which offers more detailed data retrieval.
